I have one of those problem concrete driveways, in an HOA. It gets the neighborhood runoff (county gutter in front) and cracks. No matter how many times it’s been repaired or camouflaged, it all comes back.
I finally had it, after attempted faux pavers myself, to cover-up in ’17 and again in ’19. I hired an amazing contractor that did this gorgeous masterpiece. I wanted to share his art for others that may want a solution to these FL concrete driveway woes.
He custom cut flagstone style and incorporated the natural cracks into it. Completely hiding all the horror. Then he did texturing, layered colors and finished with an antique sealer. I also had him build a accessibility ramp for our front entrance, and it blends in beautifully.
I spent quite awhile finding the perfect guy. His price was very competitive, maybe a couple hundred over the other few I took bids from. That was after researching at least a dozen others. I chose him because I could tell it was literally his passion and art, not just a job. I even ended up hiring him to repaint and antique my back lanai/pool area too. I would hands-down recommend and hire Charles and his crew again.
