Gilchrist County is the last county formed in the sunshine state. Number 67! It is also the 5th smallest county by land in Florida! The small communities within the county, Trenton, Fanning Springs, Bell and Spring Ridge covers over 350 square miles of land and is home to around 17,000 residents.
