Meet the Doctors – Dr. Cerdan & Dr. Chuy

Dr. Cerdan

Dr. Cerdan was born in the Philippines and moved to Lake Butler, Florida when he was 8 years of age. An avid Gator, he graduated from the University of Florida in 1998 with high honors. He attended Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia , Pennsylvania . He was inducted as a member of the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon honor society, an academic fraternity for the top 10 graduates of his class.

As a dental student he was especially passionate about prosthetic dentistry (crown and bridge) and completed many cases beyond the necessary requirements to graduate. He has since practiced in Southwest Florida before moving to Winter Haven in 2007. He is a member of the Florida Dental Association, American Dental Association, and the Polk County Dental Association. Because of his love for dentistry, Dr. Cerdan enjoys staying current with the latest techniques and materials. And he also loves serving the community with the Winter Haven Rotary, and the Angels Care Center of Eloise.

Not to mention, Dr. Cerdan married his “dental school sweetheart”, Dr. Gianna M. DeSimone. They have two active boys whom they enjoy playing tennis, fishing, traveling, watching movies, and playing music together. Their favorite destinations are Legoland and Disneyworld!

Dr. Joseph Chuy

Dr. Joseph Chuy is a graduate of the University of California San Francisco of Dentistry. He also earned bachelor degrees in Biology from UC Irvine, and in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Cal Poly Pomona.

He has dedicated hundreds of hours of post dental school training to focus in the areas of cosmetic and implant dentistry. For him, “It’s a privilege being able to improve someone’s smile and totally change their outlook in life. It’s a great day at the office when the patient has a newfound smile”.

Certified Invisalign Dentist

Dr Chuy is certified in Invisalign and, as a general dentist, he also offers services in Root Canals, Crowns and Bridges, Extractions, Dentures, among others.

Dr Chuy takes pride in providing his patients with a comfortable dental experience. His philosophy is: “ Treat your patients the way you want to be treated. Be friendly and respectful. As well as provide the best service possible. “ he is licensed to practice dentistry in Florida, California and Nevada. Aside from dentistry, he enjoys traveling, hiking, tinkering with electronics, and what he terms “experimental cooking.” He also speaks Spanish and Chinese Cantonese.
