The Lodge at Wakulla Springs

The Lodge at Wakulla SpringsThe Lodge at Wakulla Springs is located at 550 Wakulla Park Drive, Wakulla Springs, FL 32327

850.421.2000

Surrounded by 6,000 acres of pristine forest, the Lodge at Wakulla Springs is North Florida’s castle. Built in 1937 by industrialist Edward Ball, the Lodge is not only one of the most beautiful buildings of its period, but also one of the few where you can stay overnight. Located in the middle of Wakulla Springs State Park. The Lodge’s 27 rooms overlook one of the country’s largest springs. Whether you enjoy fine dining in the Edward Ball Dining Room or want to cool off with an ice cream at the world’s longest marble soda fountain, the Lodge’s timeless beauty surrounds you. Nature, luxury, history, and comfort—all can be found at the Lodge at Wakulla Springs.

The Lodge itself showcases an American style popularized during the 1920s and 30s. Which combines Mediterranean Revival and “art deco” motifs. Including massive masonry and wrought iron grill work. There is also a lavish use of marble throughout the Lodge. As well as heart cypress wood and breathtaking decorative art work depicting wildlife scenes.

Offers visitors a timeless glimpse into Florida’s pristine and elegant past.

The Lodge at Wakulla SpringsOn the National Register of Historic Places. Surrounded by nature, including canopies of oak, hickory and beech trees, the natural spring, and Florida wildlife, the Lodge offers an old southern feel and a peaceful getaway for family vacations and reunions, weddings, anniversaries, conferences, and other special events. The Lodge also is a perfect retreat for artists, writers, or those that just want to “get away from it all.”

Scenic Hiking Trails and Jungle Boat Tours Daily

The Lodge at Wakulla SpringsLeaving just yards from the Lodge about every hour from 9:40 am to 5pm, the Jungle Cruise takes you on a nature tour from the Springs up the river. Experienced guides tell you about the environment, wildlife, and history of the springs. Currently, reservations are required. Same-day reservations may be made up to 60 minutes before departure at the Lodge front desk; however, with the popularity of the trip, space is limited and may not be available.
Everyone deserves some time to Explore, Unwind and Dine! Explore Wakulla’s natural beauty and Old Florida ambiance with scenic hiking trails, picturesque boat tours, and bustling wildlife. Unwind at our historic Lodge, surrounded by 6,000 acres of pristine forest, and cool off with an ice cream at the world’s longest marble soda fountain. At the end of a beautiful day, enjoy an inclusive dinner at The Edward Ball Dining Room, where it is our pleasure to serve you our favorite southern cuisine and it comes with a smile.
