There are many restaurants and shopping centers within a couple miles in the city of Inverness. Many enjoy biking or walking along the 47 mile long, paved Withlacoochee Bike Trail. Fort Cooper State Park is also nearby. As well as the scenic Withlacoochee River about five miles away which offers many kayaking and canoeing adventures.

Nearby Crystal River and Homosassa also offer a once in a lifetime excursion to swim with the manatees. Many local dive shops offer boat rentals and manatee tours where you can actually swim and snorkel with the manatees, they supply all the gear you need. And if you want to visit the beautiful Gulf of Mexico, we are only about twenty five miles away. The area also has several Museums, Historical Sites, Annual Holiday Festivals, Arts and Craft Shows, Antique Shops, Fishing, Water Skiing, Bird Watching, or just Relaxing!
