Palm Beach Zoo

Palm Beach Zoo Hours of Operation

Open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with the last admission ticket being sold at 4:15 p.m.  The Palm Beach Zoo is closed only on Thanksgiving & Christmas Days.

Daily Animal Enrichment’s

Get to know some of our resident animals during our daily keeper talks and informative feeding & enrichment encounters.

  • Learn what makes tigers so “chuffed” (happy) during our Tiger Talks.
  • Feel the power of a hungry alligator during our American Alligator Talk & Feeding.
  • Monkey around with several species of primates during our Tropics of the Americas Primate Enrichment.

Interactive Fountain

One of the best-loved attractions in South Florida, our Interactive Fountain is beautiful to see and hard to resist.  Don’t forget to bring the kids’ bathing suits when you visit the Zoo!

Changing tents are nearby, and pleasant seating is provided for those who wish to relax and watch as their delighted children frolic in the refreshing water jets.

Note: The fountain closes at 4:30 p.m. and during inclement weather.

Kids Zone

Wildlife Carousel The magnificent carousel at the Palm Beach Zoo provides unforgettable experiences for children and a bit of nostalgia for grown-ups. Thirty two colorful sculptures including horses, hummingbird, manatee, jaguar, and sea dragon take children on thrilling rides while traditional carousel music plays.

Safari Train This colorful train will delight children of all ages – so hop on and take a ride! This is where life-long memories are made!

Explorer’s Play Tent The Explorer’s Tent offers children the opportunity to experience the joy of discover with periodic hands-on activities, educational games, animal encounters, storytime and meet ‘n’ greets with the Zoo’s charismatic ZooCrew members Teddy the Toucan, Timmy the TIger, Crash the Cardinal, Speedy the Turtle and Kiwi the Koala. Please note: There is currently no set schedule for the above activities. Please check your daily show/entertainment for offerings on the day of your visit.

Come enjoy a taste of the Tropics!

Tucked away on the shore of beautiful Baker Lake in the heart of the Zoo, the Tropics Café is a pleasant hideaway offering full-service dining in a unique air-conditioned facility complete with an Amazon Basin theme. Restaurant seating is available 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.

For those seeking light refreshment, Tropical Concession* and Dippin’ Dots Stands offer cold drinks, novelty ice cream treats, hot dogs, and more.

Beer & wine is now available for purchase in the Tropics Café while enjoying your meal.**

**The Palm Beach Zoo now serves alcoholic beverages in the Tropics Café during regular meal service hours. Alcoholic beverages will also be available at various areas around the Zoo during select special events and private parties. Please note that we have a ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY REGARDING UNDERAGE DRINKING. Anyone under the age of 21, or not able to produce a valid legal ID when requested by staff, will be required to exit the Zoo premises immediately. Also, we reserve the right to refuse or discontinue service to anyone deemed to be intoxicated. Thank you for respecting this policy for the safety of yourself and others.
