Oak Park Inn

Step back into the previous century at the luxurious Oak Park Inn of Arcadia to a time when the American experience was meaningful and life seemed less complicated for everyone. Now you can recapture all the romance, charm and gracious ambiance of the bygone era your great grand parents once knew by booking a room for yourself at the historic Oak Park Inn of Arcadia. Here you will find a superbly managed smaller hotel that offers its guests peace and quiet and shelter from the problems of the outside world, at least until you must return to it. The Oak Park Inn is proud to be an official “stress free” zone.

Our inn occupies a building that is more than 110 years old and was constructed in 1904, only 48 months following the death of England’s Queen Victoria. As such, it exhibits the Victorian influence still popular at the time with many fine period antiques, some more than 140 years old and still in daily use.

From the very minute you step into the 50 foot long Grand Lobby of the Oak Park Inn and onto the plush Axminster carpeting woven in England especially for this unique property you will know you are in a very special place indeed and you will feel special too.  In fact, we will guarantee it!

Majestic potted palm trees are prevalent throughout the elegant interior and compliment the cream colored walls once so popular during the Edwardian era. Gaze into an elaborately carved and gilded pier mirror that centuries ago hung from the walls of a French Palace. Who can say for sure that Queen Marie Antoinette herself did not vainly pose in front of this very mirror prior to the French Revolution? You too will be treated like royalty at the Oak Park Inn and will never want to leave.

After registering at the lobby front desk, your luggage will be carefully loaded aboard the hotel’s dumb waiter and sent to the second floor lobby nearby your room. You will notice the spacious “Sky Light Room” on that level which serves as a private sitting and dining area adjacent to a large fireplace and can also be rented for special events.  Please inquire at the front desk if interested.

Breakfast is served each morning from 6:30 a. m. to 10:30 a. m. at the Breakfast Buffet Bar which features an assortment of fresh fruits, fruit cups, cereals, sweet rolls, croissant, banana walnut bread, blueberry muffins and toast with jams, jellies and Wisconsin butter. You’ll love looking at the clouds above floating by through the enormous glass ceiling of the “Sky Light Room” during your breakfast. Our Juice Bar beverages always feature freshly brewed Starbucks* coffee, Italian Sweet Cream, Campbell’s tomato juice, V-8 juice, pineapple juice, ruby red grapefruit juice, Welsh’s grape juice, Ocean Spray cranberry juice, apple juice and whole or 2 % fresh milk for your Quaker Oats hot oatmeal.

Periodically the Oak Park Inn may have a recognizable celebrity from the entertainment industry, sports world or CEO of a major corporation staying here too, perhaps even for the same reasons you have chosen to be with us; quiet privacy, a romantic get-away or maybe just to recharge your psychological batteries for a few days. Some of our hotel guests frequently come here from Europe and Latin America to hunt wild boar or alligator with a famed wildlife guide! Whatever your reason may be, the results will be worth it. Truly, the Oak Park Inn of Arcadia is a great place to hide out in plain sight! Who’d ever think to trace you here?
