Music Connections is located in Lakeland, Florida. Whether you are looking for beautiful ways to nurture your baby through music, build social skills through musical interactions, or lay a strong foundation for a life of music with your young child (from infants to 6 yrs) Kindermusik makes it easy!

Weekly lessons introduce you and your child to new music, music concepts, and creative new musical ways to interact with each other and with children the same age and their families. Throughout the week, your family will be listening to all the recordings that we use in class, reading the children’s book to match the theme, and exploring instruments or props that enhance the play and learning.

“Singing and Dancing, we will be Making Music”

Through each the ages and stages as your young child progresses, there is a curriculum designed by a team of professionals at Kindermusik International, and facilitated with love and joy by a Maestro level educator who has been teaching in Lakeland since 1999. Your child will thrive through the process of music in these age appropriate programs as we gather once a week for 45 minutes with our friends, making music, dancing, connecting, and laughing together. You will have songs to sing as you are walking in the the park, driving in the car, and splashing in the bath. Kindermusik classes are a great way to meet other families, make friends, and enjoy a safe happy environment for making connections through music in so many ways.

Foundations: Infants to Toddlers Music for Nurturing your baby

Level 1: 12 – 24 months Music for Active Exploring Together

Level 2: 2 years (+ / -) Music for Engaged Learning Together

Level 3-4: 3 – 4 years Music for Independent Music Makers

Level 5: 5 – 6 years Young Musicians take on theory, history & culture

Your family may be in a unique situation in which it will work best for you to jump into a delightful music event that you can work into your schedule. Be a part of our making music together for a grand seasonal celebration for 45-60 minutes ONE Saturday a month (typically the 2nd Saturday).

Mixed ages: Kindermusik Playdates Music for Connecting Family & Friends

Our monthly Kindermusik Playdates highlight the joys of each season, such as “Under the Waves” exploring ocean creatures from starfish to whales in the summer; “Frolicsome Fall” with native drumming, songs about migrating birds, and a basket full of fabric leaves for old fashioned frolicing, and “Winter Wonderland” – which is filled with delightful “snow” (Florida style) play to activate our imaginations and provide delightful songs to sing throughout the season.

Kindermusik with Ms. Debbie Mondale has been one of the BEST things we have done for our daughter! At the age of 6 months, we enrolled in Sign and Sing which helped develop sign language via music and motion with our baby who was, then, too young to speak and we are still using some of those signs to communicate today, 6 years later. The scaffolding of music, motion, dance, rhythm and play creates an environment where children and parents learn in an organic way, through play and exploration of the world around them in a sensorial cornucopia gently guided by the passion and expertise of Ms. Debbie. Our daughter is reading music (a universal language), playing instruments, preforming with friends in front of audiences (joyfully) and we feel that we are truly BLESSED to have Kindermusik and Ms. Debbie in our lives during these formative years. Ms. Debbie is the PERFECT “guide” and we will be forever grateful for her expertise, passion and class(es)!

As a musician and music teacher, I was eager for my little one to have the opportunity to be part of an organized music class as early as possible. I was delighted to discover Debbie Mondale offering the Kindermusik curriculum in Lakeland when my son was four months old. From the beginning, Ms. Debbie welcomed us into her musical family with warmth, grace, and genuine interest in his development. I cannot speak highly enough of Kindermusik classes with Ms. Debbie to help nurture your baby’s social and emotional development, language skills, and development of musical awareness and skill, from infancy through toddlerhood and beyond.
As a new parent, I sought new and different ways to provide a stimulating environment for my child (as we all do!), as well as opportunities for me to get out and about and meet other parents and children in a supportive, friendly, and accepting environment. Through her special care and expertise in early childhood development, Ms. Debbie creates just this environment. She cares deeply for every infant, toddler, and young child in her “Kindermusik family,” as she calls it, taking time to connect with each individual child during every class. Ms. Debbie allows each child to process and explore in his or her own way, while offering gentle guidance and loving encouragement to parents. I have especially appreciated how each child’s personality and learning style are honored during every class. As a new mother with an infant (now toddler), I have never been anxious over whether my child is “performing” as he should – Debbie has always encouraged me that he is processing in his own way, and over time, I have learned how very true this is!
Weekly Kindermusik classes and home CD’s have been a part of my son’s life since he was an infant (he’s now three), and I have been delighted to watch him develop from an intent observer, into an enthusiastic participator, now growing into an expressive and creative performer. He has always requested we listen to “his music” on car rides, and he has favorite songs with which he claps and sings along, learning all kinds of new vocabulary in context with every new Kindermusik unit.
As an orchestra teacher and violinist, I know how invaluable it is for young musicians to be able to keep a steady beat at different tempos, to be able to match pitch while singing (or playing), and to be able to follow directions in a group setting—all skills Debbie teaches and reinforces right from the beginning. My son has been given the gift of a great foundation for his future musical studies and other life adventures!
Acceptance and love are cornerstones of Debbie Mondale’s Kindermusik studio. You’ll find a warm and welcoming home here, and you’ll enjoy watching your child’s social and emotional growth (as well as his burgeoning language and musical skills!)

[Footnote: I highly recommend a Kindermusik Birthday Party with Ms. Debbie, if you are interested in a fun, age-appropriate party full of activity and music! Debbie organized my son’s first birthday party, which consisted of the birthday boy and a bunch of adult relatives at our home—and she had everyone ages one through ninety circle dancing, singing, and playing instruments to all his favorite songs for well over an hour. It was a blast, and he had a great time– one of my all-time favorite birthday parties, and it was for a one-year-old!]

Mrs Debbie is an amazing lady. She works so well with children of all personalities. We joined Kindermusik when my daughter was 2 (she’s now 6) and now her little brother who will be 2 in April has loved it since 6mos old. Both of my children are quiet, shy, and timid to join in at first but Mrs Debbie is so patient and has made sure that my children have never sat on the sidelines just watching. She always makes sure to have them included in the simplest ways so they are enjoying class too until they are comfortable to join in on their own. My son now participates on his own and loves going to music class.
However, Kindermusik isn’t just with our class. It is certainly a part of our home routines too. The songs and dances we learn are incorporated into our daily entertainment, clean up and goes with us in the car too. Even though my daughter is 6 now she still loves to hear the music she grew up with and to play the instruments. She still knows several songs and now she does the lap bounces with her little brother. Watching them enjoy it by themselves is so rewarding and adds a whole new experience for them and myself. The discs have a variety of music on them. Some songs are get up and dance and some songs are great for quiet time, nap time and bed time.
I would highly recommend to anyone with babies, toddlers and littles to try Kindermusik! You’ll be hooked with just one class!

I <3 Kindermusik with "Ms. Debbie"! All four of my children absolutely love Ms. Debbie! She has a magical way of connecting with each individual child and inspiring their love for music with developmental appropriate and stimulating learning! Of all the activities my children have participated in, this is one that I do whatever I can to make sure it fits our schedule! My two older children have gone through class all the way to graduation of the Young Child classes where they learn music, notes, theory, and instruments! And it is FUN!!! There aren't any other world renowned programs like Kindermusik and none that can boast the expertise and talent of Ms. Debbie Mondale! I give this business 5 stars!! As a parent, I feel like I have found one of the treasures of Lakeland – and my children's lives will be forever impacted!
