The Gulf Breeze Zoo is a family time adventure. Bring the entire family, class or group for a fun day at our north Florida zoo. We have several opportunities for you to connect with our animals. Please stop by the petting area and visit with your farmyard favorites, including our inquisitive goats. Feeding our alligators, giraffes or budgies are popular activities. You can also book a hippo, sloth, or giraffe encounter and go behind the scenes with one of our animal care specialists.

Farmyard Fun!

Enjoy feeding and petting goats, pigs, sheep, llamas and all your farmyard favorites. Feeding a giraffe is the highlight of any zoo trip! Get up close to these amazing animals and even feel their tongues as they take special grain from your palm.

Experience a Budgie Adventure!

Walk into our special free flight aviary and let the adventure begin! You can feed these gentle, colorful birds as they perch on your hand.

Take a nostalgic 15 minute narrated train ride on our newly renovated CP Huntington style locomotive. Watch rhinoceros, deer, antelope, and zebras roam free on our 30 acre preserve. From the train you will get a close-up view of gorillas and our huge Nile hippos.

Look out over 30 acres of exotic wildlife!

On the boardwalk, you can watch roaming herds of antelope, deer, zebra, and rhino. Also enjoy a great view of the gorillas on their island habitats. Where do the tigers sleep at night? How much do the giant tortoises weigh? What is a giraffe’s favorite food? Meet a zookeeper and listen as they tell stories and provide information about the animals they care for. Hands on animal encounters are a great way to get up close with some of your favorite zoo animals. Join zookeepers at our interaction station and meet some new furry, scaly or feathery friends.
