The DOCKS at Shingle Creek is located at Marsh Landing Regional Park. The DOCKS deck is a unique waterside venue that can serve beer and wine that can accommodate a wide variety of events and that is directly on Shingle Creek, the headwaters of the Everglades. Because it is co-located at Marsh Landing Regional Park, the DOCKS has ample room to host very large groups (500+ people) to include groups wanting to include a picnic BBQ as part of their event. The park includes a Free Public Kayak and Canoe Launch site and picnic area with grills. Come join us on the deck before or after your launch for a snack and cold beverage, to include beer and wine. And learn about what tours and shuttle services we have available as well to make your paddling experience more enjoyable.

The Docks at Shingle Creek is is a sister location of The Paddling Center at Shingle Creek, the base of our waterway adventures, kayak, canoe, SUP and eco-tours. Overall, this aquatic oasis opens up more of the creek to adventurers and really enhances its usability and our efforts to create a paddling trail. At the same time it fits into the overall mission of Shingle Creek Park to protect this precious resource and emphasizes the historic role of the area.

Kayak, Canoe, Stand-Up Paddle Boards Rentals & Guided Tours

From Scout Troops to Corporate Team Building, we offer a variety of packages to put your group in a natural setting. This eco environment is where your group can come together and paddle their way through the headwaters of the Everglades. While learning about the ecosystem and grand history of the Osceola Blueway Water Trails. We can also accommodate any size group and offer group discounts for multi-equipment multi-hour rentals and tours. And what a great way to spend an afternoon or a day!

Unique Waterside Covered Deck Venue Rental

The DOCKS at Shingle Creek serves beer and wine and has a large covered deck as well as several onsite picnic tables for hosting group events, such as birthday parties, family reunions, team building, etc. The deck is an amazing outdoor venue for a variety of small, medium and large group event. In addition to the rental of our unique outdoor waterside venue, we’ll be glad to add Kayaking, Canoe, paddling and waterway tours as a part of your venue rental. Catered Camping on Makinson Island, Lake Toho Private Island

The DOCKS at Shingle Creek has an exclusive opportunity to offer their guests a unique “Catered Camping” adventure on Makinson Island. Explore the nature preserve on Historical Makinson Island in Lake Tohopekaliga (Lake Toho) with your personalized catered camping experience. Edu-tainment & Field Trip Opportunities

Our overall vision and goal to blend information about eco, culture, and history behind Osceola County and Shingle Creek into an entertaining narrative that is spiced with a little humor. The goal is to allow people to enjoy the Creek in a safe and leisurely fashion and realize at the end they maybe learned something new and interesting. We offer a truly unique and fun field trip experience that incorporates learning the skills needed to safely paddle a canoe or kayak. The classes include Birds in Flight, Predator-Prey Relationships, Eco-Discovery and assorted cooperative game-based exercises. The goal is to provide a relevant eco-based curricula with on-the-water skill building that is fun and challenging.

Electric Duffy Boat Eco-Tour

The Duffy boat is an 18ft, electric powered boat that has a certified captain as tour guide. Normal tours go to W Lake Toho and back and are approx 1hr 20min in length. The boat’s captain will provide narration that covers local history/lore and ecological tidbits about the Creek and surrounding flora, fauna, wildlife. Tours may be strictly edu-tainment oriented (fun and interesting, not too deep), or may have a special flavor, such as picture taking, bird watching, etc.

Also, the Duffy boat is electric and thus runs silently through the water at reduced speeds (6mph and below) and will slow or stop for picture taking, wildlife viewing, etc. as needed.
