Dakin Dairy Farms in Myakka City is the only dairy farm in Florida that is open to the public. We offer a wide array of activities, tours and special events as well as providing a perfect place to hold your next corporate event.

In 2002, the Dakin family realized their dream of constructing a new, state-of-the art dairy farm in Manatee County, incorporating sustainable practices into the facility, including year round production of fresh grasses rich in omegas and conjugated linoleic acids that are incorporated into their cows’ diet. The result is nutrition-packed milk with amazing flavor and an off the chart chocolate milk! Our farm market sells fresh Dakin milk, butter and cheese produced right here on our 1,000 acre farm. Come visit our market for dairy products and gifts. While visiting our farm market, be sure to experience our cafè that serves hot picnic lunches. Visitors can enjoy eating under the pavilion or picnic on the front porch. Campfires in the courtyard for roasting hot dogs & s’mores is available by appointment. After lunch kids can enjoy a hay maze, toddler swings & slides, fossil dig, Sand Mountain, and feeding our goats and sheep! You’re not going to want to miss goats that climb trees and pigs that race. We are located just 20 minutes off of I-75 at SR 70 or Fruitville Road making it a quick drive from Bradenton, Sarasota, Tampa, Ft Myers, and Orlando.

Dakin Dairy Farms is 45 minutes from the most gorgeous beaches in the world & 1.5 hours from Disney World offering a unique opportunity to highlight the two major economies in Florida – Tourism & Agriculture! The Dakin’s passion for farming, family and outdoor fun provided a natural environment for the development of an AgriTourism destination, offering guided educational farm tours, hayrides, corporate events and birthday parties.

Summer Camp at Dakin Dairy Farm

Summer Camp is geared towards ages 7-12. Kids will get to experience and learn all about farm life, from feeding and caring for animals, to learning all about them in a hands-on environment. Lunch will be included. The camp runs from 7:30-12:30 with no early drop-offs or late pick-ups. Summer Camp will have two week-long sessions. Families are encouraged to register online.

Lunch will be included. Kids need to be sure to bring: Snacks, a refillable water bottle, sunscreen, a hat, and proper clothing, i.e closed-toed shoes. We suggest rubber boots as well.

We are a working dairy farm offering farm tours and can host your special event.

Our Farm Tour is a unique attraction to the Sarasota and Bradenton area, offering an experience that creates lifelong memories. Learn where milk comes from, how milk travels from the cow to the bottle, and taste the difference of truly fresh Dakin milk. In addition to our farm tours, we offer a 5 acre oak hammock courtyard and play area.

Come visit our Farm Market where you may purchase our delicious cheeses, milk, and butter. Our Farm Market Café, open year round, serves delicious meals that is sure to leave you feeling happy. Our Tour Season opens the 1st Saturday of October with an annual Fall Festival and closes the 1st Saturday of June with our annual June Dairy Month Festival celebrating National Dairy Month. Annual Events at Dakin Dairy Farms in Myakka City, Florida

Dakin Dairy Farms’ season opens the first Saturday in October with a Festival “4 Life” and concludes the season the first Saturday in June with a “Dairy Day” Festival, honoring National Dairy Month. Our 10 ft tall 6 Acre Corn Maze has always been a huge hit. It includes a Scavenger hunt of word & picture games all themed around “Buy Fresh Buy Local”. Our corn maze is open through Christmas Only. Survivors get a FREE ICE CREAM. Come share the holiday with us.

Thanksgiving Friday thru Christmas break offers Live Manger Family Photos & Christmas Carol Hayrides. Music to listen to or Karaoke; Ride the Cow Train thru the maze; Camp Fires a roaring to roast hot dogs & marshmallows; or treat yourself to an Extreme Grilled Cheese Experience & a milk shake picnic style under the oak trees. Monday – Friday’s 10-5pm, Flashlight Nights Saturday’s 10-9pm. $10, under 2 free, groups 20 or more $8.

The Farm Market is open all year round offering fresh milk, an “extreme grilled cheese experience” cafe, ice cream, milk shakes and gifts!

My wife and I visited the cafe and enjoyed a nice lunch together on the farm. We purchased milk, cheese curds and the salted butter. Although we live a few hours away, we have already decided to visit regularly for their dairy products.
