After 40 years in the business your going to have a few people not happy. 4 people out of thousands of pool projects is not bad. If you knew these people I could gold plate there pool and they wouldn’t be happy. Very abusive people do not get return calls after constant harassment.

I had Copes put down pavers in my lanai and was told that after a settling time (3 months) they would return to replace and/or re-level any pavers required. After multiple calls, they returned after almost 5 months. The worker spent a couple of hours working and was clearly no where near done when he was called by Jim to go to another job. Several weeks later after more calls, Jim sent another worker. He very quickly and haphazardly replaced several pavers. One in particular does not even profile with the pool coping. I called about this and Jim finally came out and saw it. He promised he would send somebody out to repair this one paver. That was over a month ago. I’ve called and texted Jim many times since (at least 20 times). He hasn’t answered any of these calls or texts. If you’re looking for a reliable pool or paver contractor, Cope’s apparently is no longer one.

When Jim took ill, his son Bryan took over the business. Bryan did a fantastic job. Showed up, worked hard, finished on time, stayed in contact. Now that Bryan is gone, and Jim is back at the helm, it has fallen to pieces. Doesn’t show up, doesn’t return calls, doesn’t get the work done. I have now been waiting 6 weeks and nothing has been done. He has a different excuse every week. It is time to retire Jim! You no longer have what it takes to run your business. You have run your own business into the ground. What a shame
