At Colour Their World in Brandon, Florida, we provide a warm and friendly atmosphere that allows the children to be happy and involved at our preschool and learning center. Our professionally trained staff listens to what the children have to say and encourages “good choices” that allow the children a hands-on learning experience. The natural abilities and positive attitudes of our staff build a solid foundation of self-confidence and self-esteem in our children.

Our goal at the preschool is to allow the children to feel good about themselves and their accomplishments. We strive to create a mutual respect and encourage daily communication between parents and teachers at our childcare facility.

Our preschool and childcare center, Colour Their World in Brandon, Florida strives to enrich the lives of our children by exposing them to both the “basic” and “hidden” curriculum in our program. The “basic” curriculum from Houghton-Mifflin promotes hands-on materials such as oral language, vocabulary, phonological awareness, alphabet recognition, print awareness and beginning phonics and is an integral part of a child’s education in providing strong academic development. Our special centers such as housekeeping, science, blocks and art allow the children to learn through play. This “hidden” curriculum helps promotes moral values, behaviors and social skills that help children as they grow through life’s stages. This special two part program helps to enhance the intellectual, physical and emotional growth development of each individual child.

When choosing our learning materials and toys, Colour Their World carefully selects items that reflect diversity. Puzzles, figures and books include children of various ethnic groups, disabilities and religious backgrounds to help the children feel “at home” in the daycare center.

At Colour Their World in Brandon, Florida we practice only positive methods of discipline when necessary. We encourage the children to express themselves through the use of their words and not their actions. Teaching them self-control through the use of language and helping them to make the right choices eliminates most behavioral problems. Inappropriate actions are always discouraged and are not tolerated. Safety First, always!

Good quality child care experiences can have positive life-long effects on our children. Remember, our goal at the day care center is to truly Colour Their World so that they can make their learning experiences enjoyable, enhance their appreciation for the creative sides of life and develop the “total” child.
