Dating back before the turn of the century, property owners of the Chinsegut Hill Manor House included soldiers, farmers, and Presidential advisors. Our property is set atop one of the highest elevations in Central Florida and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Located on the grounds include; seven cottages accommodating a total of 56 guests, a dining lodge which holds 75 guests, historic museum and picture perfect landscaping. You’ll feel the stress from the outside world subside while strolling along our scenic hiking trails and relaxing at our Hernando County Retreat.

Whether you are attending a wedding, a family reunion, or you’re looking for a quiet, romantic getaway, the Cottages at Chinsegut Hill Retreat are a one-of-a-kind experience. We offer seven Cottages that provide quaint lodging for all of our guests. Stay a day or a week, the choice is yours. The Cottages are situated in the cool shade of graceful hardwood trees and are in close proximity to other facilities at Chinsegut Hill Retreat, including a free-standing classroom meeting space, a dining hall that seats 75, an educational and hiking trails that meander through the property. If you choose to venture beyond the Retreat’s 115 acres, there is plenty to see and do in the Hernando County area. When coupled with the secluded Old Florida landscape and location, the character of the modest-yet-modern accommodations fit like a glove on Florida’s Nature Coast, guaranteeing guests a pleasant, memorable stay. Chinsegit Hill Retreat was the perfect backdrop for our 2019 Healthy Mind/Healthy Body Retreat!! Melissa and her crew were awesome, the grounds were magnificent and the cabins were comfortable and well equipped. I could not think of a better way to start the new year. Our participants had only wonderful things to say about their experience.
