Driveway full of cracks and looking dingy…

Resurfacing your driveway is great way to repair damaged concrete or restore the look of a dated surface. However, it’s not always the answer. Resurfacing is best for pavement that has more than 25% of the surface covered with little to moderate damage. If you resurface the entire driveway, it will look brand new. Replacing the driveway is necessary if the pavement has large potholes or several cracks wider than 1/4-inch. While resurfacing may be less expensive in the short-term, eventually there will reach a point where the cost of repairs exceeds the cost of new asphalt installation. Since asphalt pavements typically last 20 years, you’ll want to consider replacement once it reaches the end of its life expectancy. To repave the driveway, the old asphalt has to be removed, the foundation dug up and reconstructed. When you decide to resurface the asphalt driveway, you will only be filling the cracks, patching some holes, and resurface the whole driveway.
