The Florida Schools & Education Guide provides information on obtaining education for all ages, levels and degrees. Education is growth. The Florida Department of Education serves as the single repository of education data from school districts, state and community colleges, universities, and independent postsecondary institutions. The Florida Department of Education serves approximately 2.8 million students, 4,400 public schools, and 28 colleges. There are roughly 202,500 instructional staff, 46,000 college professors and administrators, and 340,000 full-time staff throughout the state. The department enhances the economic self-sufficiency of Floridians through programs and services geared toward college, workforce education, apprenticeships, job-specific skills, and career development.
The Florida Department of Education manages programs that assist individuals who are blind, visually-impaired, or disabled succeed – either in school settings or careers – encouraging independence and self-sufficiency. There are six main forms of K-12 education options in the sunshine state. Traditional public schools, public charter schools, public magnet schools, private schools, online learning, and homeschooling. However, the Florida Schools & Education Guide can also help you achieve a certification or degree in numerous other fields. As of May, 2024 – Today, U.S. News & World Report announced that Florida is again ranked #1 in the nation for education. The publication’s Best State ranking is based on a combination of strong performances in higher education and K-12 metrics.
