With great schools and a population of less than 4,000 residents, this quiet community is a great place to live and raise a family. The entire land only covers 7 square miles however, this city offers southern charm and big rewards. There is a lot of history in this area. Badcock’s opened it’s first store in 1904 and now has over 365 stores throughout the southeast United States. The phosphate mines employee many of the residents. Other landmarks include; the Alafia River Reserve and the City Park. Convenient to the bigger cities such as Lakeland & Brandon but far enough away from it all, Here you will find some of the best companies within the area and where to go when looking for something fun to do.
